St. Pe's Lament

This tune is one that I wrote to back up a video for a powerpoint presentation in recognition of a good friend's body of work. He would be 'St. Pe' (prounounced, Saint Pay)

Since he is a biologist working in the marshes and bayous in South Louisiana, it's supposed to have sort of a down home feel. Picture scenes from an airboat or a pirogue in the swamp as you listen.

It was performed by my group, The Moss Pickers. Recording was done at 'The Music Shed' in New Orleans. The Engineer, Chris Finney had recorded Jerry D in the past and placed a Shure KSM 44 in front of me and told me that Jerry suggested that mic for recording Dobro. Who am I to argue with that? My job was clear; This is the best you're gonna do, so make it count. I couldn't blame the equipment for this one. The guitar I played is my Adams birch with Spruce top, set up by Tim Scheerhorn.

My apologies to anyone with a tune that sounds like this one......I know that I've heard this roll somewhere, but I couldn't place it. If I stole it, it was accidental and I ain't makin' no cash off it so what the hey.
