I read that the necks on the new limited production hollow-neck tri-cones have been reengineered to make the wood stiffeners inside the necks of the originals unnecessary. Does anyone know what exactly was done to achieve this? Is the metal thicker? Are the new necks deeper? Is the taper from body to headstock different?
