This CD, SoulSlide, by Jeff Plankenhorn is a must have for all reso and slide enthusiasts. Jeff is a world class slider and has an incredible voice with which he delivers his original music in the deepest, richest, and most heartfelt manner. The grooves are all bluesy and trashy and motowny and sweet and ... YOU NEED IT!
I met Jeff in BR when he was working as a sideman for Joe Ely. We then saw one another again at Folk Alliance in Kansas City (2015) where I introduced him to Abby Gardner, who is now a fan as well! (Easy call, Two great sliding singers in my acquaintance!)
Here's a great track from the CD, 'Trouble Find Me'!read more »
1995 Scheerhorn Spruce Mahogany R-Body reso for sale. Since I've had it, I had Tim put in a new cone, ebonex bridge insert, screenless soundholes and also had him replace the metal baffle inside with the newer plastic baffle. This is a great sounding instrument, and I much prefer the tone of this wood combination to that of the R-body maples. I still have the original metal baffle which also has the sticker with the SN and date of completion on it. $5700 + shipping. Prefer to do the handover in person, but will ship within the US48.

Well im excited that the Miller Slides are finally available! If any of you have seen me playing out over the last two years you may have noticed the stainless bar i had with the holes in it. it was one of the Miller Light prototypes, and im very glad he is making them now because i was going to go nuts if i ever lost mine! I recently got my hands on the medium, and im still not sure which i like better! The speed and control of the light is uncanny, however the medium has a touch crisper tone. The holes in the bar not only help with the grip and control but they also help keep your hand from being so sweaty and slipery.

I have a Carter D-10 pedal steel guitar (double neck 10 string, with pedals, knee levers) in excellent like new condition that I would like to trade for an american made reso (squareneck).
PM me if you'd like details, pictures, etc.
And as you may or may not know, a Carter D-10 weighs a ton (I'm guessing about 60 pounds at least), so shipping will be a real issue.
