I Heard the Bells

This is my favorite carol. I recorded this a few years ago for a compilation Christmas album. I sing the song and play the guitar and overdubbed the dobro in the background. The extended outro is all dobro instead of reprising the vocal. It's a haunting song and the dobro accentuates the feel, IMHO. I hope you enjoy it. Merry Christmas! :)

Patrick "Loubro" Sylvest NEW CD!

Got a copy of Patrick's new "A Little Less Louisiana" CD and it is great. Patrick wrote all the songs on this album and sings them with true feeling of a Son of The South! His voice reminds me here and there of Eric Clapton, but Patrick has his own delivery. Well done, especially for his first CD...really well done. Rob Ickes lays down all the dobro licks and breaks and really sets the tone on the songs. Andy Leftwich colors it out on mandolin and fiddle! Harmony is great, all instrumentation is just right. Well done Loubro!
