The Lovell Sisters: One Day I Walk
The Lovell Sisters performing one of my favorite Bruce Cockburn songs, "One Day I Walk."
I believe Cockburn wrote the song in 1970 and it has been recorded by many people. Here it is 39 years later, and this one has become my favorite version.
I enjoy watching Megan play the dobro, she has that youthful exuberance!

Cherokee Shuffle - Sally Van Meter
When talking about great contemporary reso players, Sally Van Meter's name should be right at the top of the list.
Corcovado
About a week ago I got back from teaching dobro at Puget Sound Guitar Workshop. I had the best week ever! After 36 years, they really know how to do a music camp. Primarily a guitar and songwriting camp, I was amazed at the talented players there, both on staff and attending. These jazz cats can pull out a chart and flat out wail on anything! There is a lot of free time and jamming, and one evening the mother of one of my students sang this Bossanova with Chris Grampp, (monster jazz and swing player!).....Corcovado by Jobim. Jobim was largely responsible for the Bossanova craze of the 60's penning Girl From Ipanema, One Note Samba and many more. I hadn't heard Corcovado, named after the Mtn. above Rio de Janiero with a 125' tall statue of Christ at the summit. It was so pretty, and it has haunted me since!
